The man's mother has died. The poor man hadn't slept since I don't know when, jetlag is a b*tch. He and his siblings were all there and she just slipped away in her own room.
*sigh*
On another note, we got the municipal permission. sadly, the third construction guy has not sent me the bid, that was supposed to be here 'tonight'. I suppose, like some of my students, he still has another hour and 11 min.
*sigh*
My condolences to the Man, you and your kids. How sweet that she passed in her own room and that her own children were there. It is something to witness a death, the other side of the coin to witnessing a birth but something (inexplicable with words) nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteThe details of life seem so unimportant at times like these, don't they?
I'm so sorry about your mother-in-law. It's always so sad to lose the ones we love. They stay with us in memory, but it's hardly the same.
ReplyDeleteMany sighs, much sadness.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your family's loss.
I am so sorry to hear about his Mother passing away. I think that is one of the most traumatic and perhaps life defining moments in one's life - the loss of one or both parents. It's good that he was able to be there when she died. My condolences.
