Couldn't understand why they haven't seen the light and joined up with the Catholic church. A mystery it would seem.

Sherry, I remember going to mass with Catholic friends and synagog as well as some other churches, it was always interesting.

Boo and Trev, I remember going with you. It was interesting.

Beth, incense doesn't bother me that much. I went to a Ukrainian Orthodox mass. Good grief, it'll keep you in trim, getting up and down off your knees and your seat for hours. Almost calisthenic. All the action went on behind a screen though, so it was good that there were many many paintings on the walls to fill the eyes.orenetahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10616103982088424715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8311151968716514867.post-86557303304223982832011-10-23T05:01:26.341-07:002011-10-23T05:01:26.341-07:00I remember going to mass with a friend when I was ...I remember going to mass with a friend when I was young – fascinating, but the smell of incense really bothered me. Still does – recently went to a Russian Orthodox wedding and sneezed.Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14110235078325434919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8311151968716514867.post-4796093197513190072011-10-22T23:51:19.628-07:002011-10-22T23:51:19.628-07:00But you and your sister did that when I was babysi...But you and your sister did that when I was babysitting you all those summers ago. I was still a good church going Catholic then and went to Church every Sunday and you two always asked to tag along too! I like the Church, I like the stained glass (much different than the Baptist Church I was attending). I didn't convert and didn't feel that something "bad" would happen...I thought how great it was to be able to experience something different. Now if only the world was like your daughter and her friends...ready to embrace someone else's religion to share in a ritual and support a friend.Sherryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08271529958269038071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8311151968716514867.post-16484560061367514922011-10-22T13:54:24.840-07:002011-10-22T13:54:24.840-07:00Hahaha. Used to include lots of smiting for bad followers, but they stopped doing that a long time ago, I think :DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
