Blue

I am bagged a bit discouraged about some stuff going on and having another allergic go around so I am itchy, burning and prickly, plus dopey as h*ll from the medicine.

Eldest has tested negative on all the tropical disease tests so far, there are three pending. This is good news, but also frustrating. I was hoping that they would find something, give her a pill an it would finally be over; as it stands we are being sent off to an allergist and (another) gastroenterologist(probably in September).

We can't get off the merry-go-round yet it seems.

  1. A very, very frustrating merry-go-round. I know it's good news about those tests being negative but I also understand your wish for a diagnosis that can be treated with a quick fix.
And what the heck is going on with you? Nerves? Worry? Stress? You should be seeing the allergist too.
Take care. Thinking of you - all of you.

  2. Beth, the doctors said, correctly that I had to find out what I was allergic to from the last time, so when youngest wanted to put make-up on me again I said yes, I still wasn't going to do the other 10 possible things...well, she used only clinique, that expensive hypo-allergenic stuff, Boots No 7 eyeshadow, and sticker earings....seems I am either the only person on the planet allergic to clinique, or it was the eye-shadow, or my vote is the stickers...though as they are made for children it does make you wonder....

    Thanks for the thoughts.

Next time I won't try it out on my FACE though. Lovely to see me.....

  6. Hire a small sailboat at sunrise for the day, and cool your itchiness in the sea breezes!
Thinking of you all and a big hug from me! GM

  7. So sorry. You're not alone. I am allergic to Clinique. Actually, I'm allergic to any eye shadow other than Maybelline brown tones. I think it's a pigment thing with me. If I get reckless and wear a little purple or blue I look like I have pink eye for about a week. You have my condolences.

  8. I too, say get back on the boat...life was simpler then, no?

I pray that they find out whatever's going on with Eldest...what a mess...and I know you want to see her get better.

  9. GM...a good idea, but I have to work...such is life.

Hula, interesting, not the only one allergic to clinique, the weird thing is that I am NOT allergic to much, I can soak my arms in diesel, I can paint, I can wear whatever creams I want, and wash with any soap...this is what I find so freaky about my face right now, it is like someone elses, and I just wish I could peel it off. Thanks for the condolences.

Beth, you said it sister, there are days...Bullwinkle, your the best.

  10. Hmmm... odd. I remember having been tested to many allergens just by a single blood test. Is it exclusive to France? It's a fast, convenient, and since the allergy is tested on the blood sample, you don't have to go through the hassle of turning your body into an experimental battlefield...

  11. elPadawan, hmmm, I should go to France for this...every time I have been tested, battlefield seems an appropriate term, thousands of little scratches with daubs of I know not what, plus 14 or 15 needles, with this level of assault, who could tell what you were reacting to...
