Taking photos

I am no great photographer, as anyone who as read this for any length of time knows, but I do like snapping a photo from time to time.

Sometimes I see people taking TONS of photos, and it feels like they aren't experiencing what they are doing, being so wrapped up in photographing it, and I do believe that that can happen, but for me, taking a photo when I am out and about tends to work more to help me notice and remember and appreciate the beauty and wonder of where I am and what I'm doing.

Sometimes it's a photo of something stupid, but still something that makes me amazed.

What about you?

Count me in for snapping the stupid stuff... Although according to *some people* in the house, I apparently take too many pictures when I'm out and about. I strongly disagree, of course :D

You LOVE taking photos...how can you take too many!?!?!?? And I cannot imagine you disconnecting with the world by hiding behind your camera.....

I now have a phone with a good camera in it so I have set myself a little Instagram project to take a photo a day when I am out walking. I don't obsess about it if it's not convenient or I am with people but it is fun when I am on my own and it does make me a little more observant I think

I enjoy taking photos, and I like all the memories they evoke. I also enjoy trying to take better photos, and as I do a calendar for family and friends I try to get some good photos for that every year.
