We interrupt our regular programming to say....
We got a Snow DAY!!!!!!!
Remember the excitement of snow days? No work? No school? Running around in the lovely white fluffy stuff?
Most of you probably remember this all too well and recently, but we haven't had a snow day in over seven years, and as I worked at home, probably over fourteen!
WOOOOOOOTTTT!!!!!!!
SEE:
Just got a text message....snow day tomorrow too!!!!!!
......later.......sounds of breaking trees.
........later still.........someone has to tell the weather clerk, there shouldn't be thunder with a snowstorm. Someone is doing it wrong.

As a teacher in Michigan, why yes, I'm very familiar with the concept! In fact, we've already had two.
But have FUN!!!
:D
The ENTIRE world is getting all that snow we never had this year! Enjoy.
You're very welcome. ;)
Ha! If I had known you were so eager for snow, I would have sent you ours. Enjoy!!
Enjoy and keep taking pictures! I love the ones you've posted of the Catalan Winter Wonderland!
Yahoo
In Toronto it hit 15 degrees today. Everyone out in the sun.
Sea Dog
Good thing The Man didn't have to run the marathon in the snow!
That is some fabulous snow you have there! But you're right, snow and thunder just don't mix. You must tell Spain so that they can get it right next time.
???? Snow in Spain in March? What is the world coming to? Great photos - looks like the pup is having fun with it.
awesome. We don't get so much snow around here :(. I miss it
Wow-- great pics. It looks like it was fun.
TeacherMommy, a snow day in Michigan must be an entirely different thing....
Beth, sounds good all around!
Hula, you're so kind!
Beth, Catalan winter wonderland....for a little bit anyway.
Seadog, it must have been lovely with EVERYONE out!
Bodhi, and HOW! Believe me we thought of that.....
Mmichele, snow and thunder is somehow wrong...maybe it isn't wrong, it's just Spanish....?
Lynda, the dog ADORED IT! Hard to be unhappy when you're with someone who is so happy.
ElP, there is something about it...
Kate, thanks !
HAHAHA! I heard on the news that Barcelona got hit with snow and they mentioned power outages too, so of course I thought of you. I just now had a chance to check and I laughed so hard when I saw your new profile picture. Sounds like all is well. I had snow/ice hitting the skylight right above my desk on Monday! And of course NOW the mountains outside Vancouver have lovely snow. Just after the Olympics! Oy!
Windy and chilly here today, a few breaks of sun this afternoon, now getting ready for 3-4 days of rain from a big storm off the Pacific.
Thundersnow is GREAT! I miss that.
There you go Doug, thunder snow is possible, I hadn't had it before! We didn't have any power outages which was pleasant, some parts of Catalonia were much harder hit than others, they just aren't prepared for it, it only happens about once every thirty years. What can you do?
