Linked in, not loving you

Have a linked in account, not cause I really want one, but because I had to have one for a course in the Masters, and really, if I want to be working online, probably should  but linked in, don't love you.

They have a screen when you go in asking you to send an invitation to everyone you have ever emailed.  Kinda creepy how they can do that.

WELL, today I hit the button by accident.  Damn it. None of these, 'are you sure you want to do this?' notices either, eh?

Linking to people I don't know, people I don't like and people I never intended to link to.

Also some friends, so not all bad, but what a freaking bad and deeply annoying design.

Damn it all.

Yes indeed, I completely agree with you. I hate it. Stopped using it altogether because whenever I endorsed a friend I got bombarded with all the others! GM

Oooooooh that's why I found your invite :). I don't check Linkedin very much. My profile there is outdated (or is it my career which has come to a grinding halt I wonder?). I come back every few months to discover some more people "networking me in". At the website's beginning we would joke in the office that an updated LinkedIn profile was a sign of somebody looking for a job. Just like if a developer was coming at work dressed in a suit. The joke is still accurate though. Looks like I desert the thing until I actually look for another job.

Yeah, I do find it pretty stupid at the best of times, and setting it up so that you accidentally send out invites to 350 not the best of times. Sorry about it, though I actually am not as bothered about this as with some of my freakier ex-students. Don't really know how to go about deleting contacts on the thing and don't want to spend the time on it.

Ah well. Worse things have happened.!
