The last stretch

Camping was amazing, we were in Frontenac Provincial Park, which was amazing....the kids swam like crazy, we rented a canoe, and had a generally wonderful time....good thing there was norain, as two of the tents were totally not waterproof...

It was so very Canadian, loons crying, trees, water, fish, lakes, stars, campfires and marshmallows...you know the deal.

I am now trying to figure out how to get a little bit of land on a lake....I am not sure we can pull that off, but a girl can dream.

Probably no more updates till next week, I still only have very sporadic internet access, so wishing you all well,

Back soon,

Cheers,

O

I do "know the deal" - and I especially love those loon calls.
I hope that one day your dream comes true.

Sounds divine. As I followed you on Twitter I got a hoot out of the size zero comment. I'm a skinny girl, and I'm nowhere near a zero. I just don't know who those people are. I think they just hang those sizes on the rack to make us feel bad.

Sounds like a lovely time. The sounds sure add to the experience as do the smells. A total sensory experience when one camps.

Ahhh... I do miss the call of the loons on the lake! Glad to hear you all had a good time. How bad were the mosquitos?

GM, the trick is to do more than dream though isn't it, you've also got to plan...

Beth, how was your bit of time by a lake wiht the loon calls? I hope it was great. Is the front walk finished?

Trish, Canadian summers are simply fantastic...mmmmm

elPadawan, did you hear loons calling when you went camping? Are you out from under so much work yet or is it still insane?

Beth, how is France, you seem to be settling in, I particularily loved your story about the plumber having trouble with the toilet, nothing like a little redemption.

Hula, I figure zero is for anorexic 12 year olds. Really honestly, I am a skinny girl too....and I am NOWHERE near that, I do have hips though, maybe that is the difference. Perhaps they are for anorexic cross-dressing 12 year old pre-pubescent boys?

Swedish expat, it was lovely, and it is also lovely to get back....

Dawn, that is so true, it is such a lovely experience, though the falling asleep listening for animal life is my least favourite part, waking up knowing nothing came is a great moment though.

Carla, the mosquitos were fine, there were a few but really very few, if we covered up we were fine.
