It has been busy, I got a free ticket to go to a concert with a friend of a friend last night. The 'f. of a f.' was a man from Australia and he just finished the
Camino de Santiago de Compostela...780 or so kilometers. We're planing on doing it in a few years if we can. Anyway, the concert was a performance by a Spanish/Catalan crooner...I cannot find a video by the man, but
this is one of the songs he sang....I have to say that the version I heard was better, partially because the audience loved it so much....and he had them sing along...there was another song that I liked much better but I cannot find a single version of that anywhere...
Then today the man and youngest went and did a 5k orienteering run, in an ungraded age range group..their time brought them in about 4th or 5th...out of about 60 including adults and teens, unfortunately they got one tag wrong, you have to mark your card at set spots and there were two stations near each other, and they used the wrong one...they went really fast though!
There were also some Castellers about...here are some snaps....there are more photos from last year on the sidebar there, you can click and go to the album....the pictures from this year are a little less structural and a little more intimate....

That looks very interesting. Great photos. Too bad they got a tag wrong at the one place. Great they did so well.
Your youngest is incredible - she can keep up with an adult running that distance and come in at the top of the list!!! HURRAH for her.
Your photos look very involved - like you were right in there amongst them and can smell and feel them! GM
Love the pictures. I wish I could have experienced it in person. And congratulations to your family on their great times. I'm trying to get out of the "back of the pack" this year.
Impressive performance, for the orienteering run! And very nice pictures indeed :)
Uh, yeah, that one picture was a little more intimate than the ones from last year. (Am I the only one who noted that? And if so, what does that say about me?)
(I'm following and loving Eliot's Wasteland.)
Dawn, thanks, it was a shame that they got the wrong tag, but...what can you do.
GM, it was an orienteering race, so there is a certain amount of not getting lost that helps...she is pretty good though...they walked on the hills, which is sensible and she was getting pretty tired by the end....she's tough though. Talk about recovery time in the young too...Jealous!
Hula, maybe one day you will see it in person, who knows...I am impressed you are in the pack. I exist in my family to make the runners look good....
elPadawan, thank you thank you....have you ever done orienteering runs?
Beth, I noticed it too...I was waiting for the comments. That make two of us anyway! Glad your liking Eliot...I am really enjoying revisiting it.
