We're here in Paris and life is utterly WONDERFUL! (and kinda grey and chilly, but what the heck)

We went down to the park anyway at the foot of the Eiffel tower, it was pretty tame, and thankfully we did not get clonked by any flying champagne bottles! The crowd was pretty excited and even though we were several hundred feet away from the partyiers, it was fun to watch the tower sparkle at midnight, and hear the collective sigh when the clock struck 12! The kids LOVED it!!! Happy New Year!!!!!
