Guy Clark and Vernon Thompson

The Man and I went to hear Guy Clark play in a town near BCN tonight...I LOVE his music, here's a link to one of my favourite songs of his, that was actually written with the guy he's singing with, Vernon Thompson, I'm giving you a link 'cause it's really late and I am really tired and for some reason the embedding never goes smoothly....here is another version of the song, which is complete, the first isn't. The first is pretty much exactly what we saw though, without the hats....

One thing he mentioned, you know that song, Don't it make my brown eyes blue by Crystal Gail? The man who wrote the song, Richard Lee, is the man they who has boats to build in the song above. Also, Richard wrote the brown eyes blue song...for his dog!

Well, I was going to upload a photo, but I am too tired and seems I cannot even do that, to see Guy and Vernon one more time, go here

No wonder you like that song - building boats, sailing, the waves...
I liked it too.

Yeah Beth, it's kind of obvious.

How interesting. I rarely wonder where a song originates or who writes it, but it is interesting when you find out the connections of artists and songs.
