Learning to share.

We've been doing some doggie sitting lately, and Chuck's favourite buddy is over at our house. Like all guests, she gets to do some things that are special, like sit on the couch, which Chuck isn't allowed to do, and Chuck is pretty cool with that, but he had a little more trouble here:

Could you come here for a minute, please?

Look, look what she has.....

That's my favourite bone, the one I've been saving.....

and she won't give it back.

Could you do something about this please, other than take silly photos while she eats it all up. Please.

I love Chuck. He has such an expressive face.

What a display of self-restraint!

I think we can see who the dominating bitch is in that relationship!
When we still had Gromit we looked after a friend's terrier, Ruby, who was younger and more agile than Gromit. We fed them seperately and then they both had a biccie for pudding. Trev put the biscuits down on the floor and gave them the leave command. They were both as good as gold and stared at the biscuit and at Trev. So then he gave the release command. Quick as a flash Ruby wolfed down both biscuits before Gromit drew breath! His expression was not disimilar to Chuck's.

How funny! I love how expressive dogs are. Poor fellow.

Sorry I've been away so long. I've been sidetracked by the ice storm. I finally had a chance yesterday to pick you up a little something to show my gratitude for the lotion (which is wonderful). It should be headed your way soon.

He would love some super French doggie treats!!!

Mmichele, he's a gentleman with a large very muscular girlfriend. It is motivating.

She, he got over it.

Beth, I think that Nonna's bulging shoulder muscles are providing some of the restraint. He is a sweetie though.

Boo, poor Gromit....Youngest rescued him from his difficulties shortly after the photo was taken. She had bought him the bone after all with three weeks allowance money, so she had some sympathy.

Beth, he is pretty well behaved, aside from his issue with cats....

Hula, I am glad you are re-emerging from the storm...you didn't have to send anything, I only hope it helps!

Helen, thank you...and he is a good dog. He really is a darling.
