Moods.
Something anyone with a teen around can get.
Jonah Lehrer has a fabulous piece up about moods, and how we sometimes nurture a bad mood, sort of get into it and feed the beast.
Sometimes though, I think a little more Spock in the day wouldn't be an all bad thing.

Long time, no hello. So hello! I don't know how I lost track of following your posts, but I just saw your comment over at Mother Theresa's and was reminded of readings past.
Anyhow, I'm going to look at that Lehrer piece; I have a friend who seems to do really well at feeding the Bad Mood Beast...
So following his argument the bad post teen mood is caused by resisting some behaviour that you really want to act out! Is that about right? I can relate to that and from next week will watch out for the syndrome...K x
I find a spot of bramble cutting followed by a huge bonfire cures almost any ill humour I have. All the more reason to find this house with a garden AND brambles in Catalunya. K x
Jocylin! Long time indeed...I'll go over and check out what you've been up to too!
Kate...seems like that's about it...rings true for me sometimes, bad mood cause I'd really like to smack someone upside the head, and I just can't! Sounds like a plan with the house-hunting indeed.
I seem to be the one with more moods in my house. My son often tells me, "Mom, feed the good wolf". Of course when I'm in a "mood" that's the last thing I want to hear! Enjoy the visit and love the new painting.
Yeah, I hear you Bodhi, being told to be in a good mood when you just ain't....grrrr.
