Look who's living in the safareig!
We've got a new creature in the house:
He/she has been named Ziggy. I was planing on a few goldfish, but the store still only had one, so we got this fish.....he/she Ziggy has eaten well and is hanging out. Aside from a brief and apparently alarming session of lying on the bottom all seems to be well. We're still working on plants, and more water in the safareig and a few more fish, but the first one is in. All very exciting!

Pretty! I like fish to look at but not to look after. When Nic went through tropical/goldfish phases I dug in my heels and would only feed, not clean.
He IS big, came that way from the store.
Helen, we've had a bunch of fish in the past, the idea here is that there isn't too much cleaning involved, it being more like a pond and less like an aquarium, you just have to change the water over from time to time. We're going to get some plants to put in there in a bit as well.....
