Some photos from Georgian Bay

Chuck on the boat....

There was lots and lots of fungus activity....

Snake skeletons....

Snake skins...big ones....
The man saw a live rattler!  No photos though.

Lots of moss.  Chuck LUVS moss....all the better to roll in it......

Turkey vultures, lots and lots of turkey vultures.....

Oh, did I mention that Chuck likes moss?

Girls start school tomorrow!  Another year begins.

Oh, that Chuck! He gets a laugh out of me every time! Also love the snake skeleton - what a find! and the shot of your foot. I am guessing the eldest and youngest are back with the man in school territory. What a luxury - school starting so late in September! I have late-school-start-date envy!

Read in Cottage Life that turkey vultures are on the rise in Ontario. Saw some around the cottage and - oh, lordy - Ted hit one while we were driving on the highway. No one hurt but the turkey vulture. Wow - so many feathers in the air! Poor thing.

LOVE that top pic! Chuck looks like a prince.
Jett started today too - 1st of ESO! He didn't seem nervous until two blocks from the school and he just said 'oh no' as if it all hit him at once.
Talk soon!

Great photos! Love Chuck snuggled into the boat - he and duna can talk travels when we get back! Snake skeleton was amazing and the idea of seeing a rattle snake!!!! That would put me off rolling in the moss. Back to school....hope it all goes well. K x

Trish, there is no place on earth like it...well maybe in Russia, but I do ADORE it.

ElP, indeed, hope it shapes up well, looking like it will anyway

Bodhi, we're all back here now....and it is good, glad to be back. mmmmm.

Beth, I cannot IMAGINE the feathers if you hit one, and I would not be in the least surprised if they were on the rise, I remember seeing some in Milton on the escarpment, and it being something very special, but there were A LOT of them here....

Tiff, how did Jett's day go? Well I hope, what school did you choose in the end?

Kate, All went well, and one of these days Chuck and Duna are going to have to meet up and trade stories....one of these days.
