Given the first comment....magic mushrooms are a nickname for LSD....it makes you see sounds and colours, along with other freaky Daliesque things....Maybe he got a MOLTO (very) Magic Mushroom as a child too.

No problem with Dali - not only he but lots of Europeans were all into trying out drugs etc in the 20s and 30s! But, it was a underground kind of thing that only certain groups of intellectuals etc were into. You had to be in the know in order to understand lots of literary texts and/or artistic productions. It depended on the subculture what the message was all about. Just think Gertrude Stein's scene and stupid Hemingway.Or the Bloomsbury group or Baudelaire etc etc. Usually 99% of the population have no idea what a world like that's all about -the "flower power people" of earlier times didn't clue in the general public. And there was no "Sympathy for the Devil" film to speed up the process, either. Just prepared the wild mushrooms I promised for our next meeting - smelled absolutely heavenly. AND BOOKED my hotel at the address I received from London!!! CHEERS!
GM: I gather it you get the reference now....the 20's and 30's were a whole lot wilder than most people realise I think....certainly in some quarters...looking forward to the wild mushrooms....so glad you've booked the room!
