Everybody's goin' surfin', surfin' BCN...

Youngest and I took some public transit out to the beach today...it was very very dirty after yesterdays rain, despite that we found some sea glass, had a snack at a great little restaurant, dodged some rain showers, and....saw some surfers...now the water was truly d.i.s.g.u.s.t.i.n.g.

These guys didn't care though.

The waves weren't that fantastic, but they were having fun....see?

He's up on the board!

Picking up speed....

Still going along, looks like he's slowing down a little though...have you ever noticed how much cameras flatten out waves? It really is pretty amazing.

Running in front of the curl..

Exiting out....

That's what was chasing him...

Aahhhh, he didn't quite make it....

This guy's on a body board, riding inside the curl...

Now he's eating sand.

He's up....

He's down....

Looking pretty good there,

Can you see him there in the spin cycle????

They're not quite in her league though are they.

I remember being caught in an ocean spin cycle - not fun AT ALL.

Happy Mother's Day to you!

A MOUTHFULL OF SAND ain't such bad price to pay - if that's what it costs to get out of that spin cycle when it's really going!GM

Amazing last photo!

They're all good, of course--and anyone who can even stand up on a board gets my admiration.

Beth, me too...I didn't like it one little bit...

GM, a mouthful of sand is coming out of the spin cycle lightly I would say...

Jocelyn, I would say thank you, but I didn't take it, rather a pro swimming in the surf with a mighty huge camera and surfer chicks around his ears did...rather him than me, I'm happy with a google image search meself...

Beth, thanks a lot...and happy Mother's day to you too....

Envoy-ette, I suspect hers was in Hawaii, not the Med....and thanks for stopping by!

Sounds like a great way to spend Mother's day. I have never tried surfing; my inability to swim is a huge contributor to that.

Dawn, I am disillusioned, I thought you could do everything...it's never to late though...

elPadawan, I was just looking at the price of tickets to Mauritius for Christmas, don't think that's going to happen unfortunately.
