audio books

One of my friends at work lent me an audio book, a really good audio book, something I would read, indeed I have read it. Does it ever make a world of difference on the drive. I may listen to it over and over and over. I wish there was some way I could listen to Ideas from CBC on my morning drive.

Ah well.

This is better than nothing.

I also heard that the Ted talk by Wade Davis is amazing, but I must go to sleep, in an effort to retrieve my memory skills and good humour.

Tomorrow.

I can't believe that I am the only one who likes thoughtful radio for the commute, it just seems that way given what is played.

The BBC website has various podcasts which you can download onto cds and thus listen to on your commute. I'm sure they're not the only broadcaster to do so

I've never tried an audio book in the car - I let music soothe my soul and distract me. But for a long drive to the cottage? Maybe I'll try one.

oddly enough, I don't recall having listened to an audiobook ever...

Boo and Trev, a very good idea...hmmmmm.....

Beth, with the right book, I can highly recommend it, this one is so good I am almost looking forward to the drive.

elPadawan, we got into them on the boat, they have merit.

I love audiobooks in the car. Whenver I do a long drive in the car I always get one out of the library and have it on. I have been known to sit in the car for a while at my destination because the book has got exciting. Try the library.

I love to listen to audio books whenever I need to drive down to Southern California. The time passes so quickly, it makes a tedious job much more enjoyable!

Helen, I love audio books, but when I tried at the library, they were all thrillers, which isn't a genre I love...I should try again and order some in. Good idea. I too have been sitting outside listening.

Carla, they do make such an incredible difference don't they....for the kids too.

I listen to talk radio all day in the vehicle until 3 when the sports program comes on, then I will turn it to music.
