Lemon Mousse...a la Catalana

We did a lot today.

Played in the park, I worked, ate lunch out, swam in a pool, watched/had a basketball practice...generally had a very nice time....

At lunch today, we had a fabulous meal...and the desert was SUBLIME!

And the very nice lady who owns the restaurant gave me the recipe! Can you imagine?

HOWEVER,

It was one of those brilliant-cook recipes that doesn't give a whole lot of detail because it assumes you know what the heck you are doing, plus it assumes local can sizes and such; so for instance I need four of the single serving yogurts they sell locally, but just how much yogurt is that???

I will try it out and let you know, cause it was wicked and it will be easy, once I figure it out a bit....and it should be tasty practicing with it too!

I LOVE IT when people are generous and their hearts are expansive enough to share their knowledge, their expertise, and their RECIPES!

We had a wicked good flour-less chocolate cake at school today for my friend's bday. It was DELICIOUS!

THANKS for your comment today!

Dawn rarely follows recipes to a tee...but everything always comes out good.

If you figure it out and it's easy - and you can give exact directions (which I need) do post the recipe! I love mousse - of any kind!

She, you are welcome to leave however many notes you want...and are you going to come through with a recipe there yourself???

Sirdar, she is a better cook than me...I can mess around with a soup or stew, but when it comes to baking....well, I am a slavish recipe follower. If I am going to all that trouble it had better be GOOD, and if I fidget with it, weeeellllll......

Beth, I will, I promise. I'll give it a whirl tomorrow maybe.

Trish....wiping away spit...hope son11 feels better, you had us all squirming and twitching too....how utterly weird. Did it just fly in there????

Yes! Great idea about your trying the recipe, perfecting the directions, then sharing with your faithful readers. LOL

I am looking forward to this recipe. Drop me note it is here if you think of it, as I don't get around as much as I like. I put up a lemon ricotta cheesecake a couple weeks ago on my taste of Tuesday and it was great, but then it is lemon, so that is what does it, I am sure. I have some plain yogurt I bought in bulk and was trying to think of a mousse recipe to use it up with. I haven't don't anything yet, but I was thinking of using lemon pudding. I was also thinking of making frozen yogurt with it. I have a frozen yogurt dessert that is awesome, so thought if I had frozen yogurt that would be a good start.

Carla, I aim to please!!!

Dawn, I'll go over and let you know...

Food-cook, thanks for dropping by! I adjust recipes too...though sometimes because chaos has ensued rather than by design.
