Part of the Immigration series.  Acrylic, paint pen, marker and pen on paper.  3.2.11. 95 x 77cm

Have to say that I am really very happy with this one.  YEAH!  Nice when it works out like you had in mind.

Oh, me too! Love, love, love the lines. Love the richness of the colour in the background and especially how it mottles and modulates. Mmmmmm. Just delicious.

Me too - like it a lot. I agree with all that Bodhi said and she says it so well! Must be even better in real life too - the colour is muy rico. Kx

Neat! The whole series is just facsinating!

Hey, in my fog of exam prep and on-again-off-again blog reading, I must have missed a recap of the art show you were featured in. Did you write about how it all turned out?

Kate, I didn't really recap it, I was away when it ended, so when I got home from our trip at Christmas the paintings were in the house, a friend has a key, and that's all there is to it. Catalans are not big on commenting on things, least said best! So after some initial mentions, a whole lot of nothing. Nobody in the show sold anything, though mine weren't for sale anyway.

Thanks for the compliment by the way, I'm having a good time with them

Good luck with the exam!

Cheers,

O

I would just like to add to the previous appreciative comments, instead of repeating them; is this one a self portrait before the haircut by any chance?

Senglishexpat, pretty much, yes! The haircut isn't so radically different that you would notice much with this level of abstraction. Thanks for the appreciative comments!
