Well, that was entirely depressing

First day of the online Catalan class, I am the only non-native speaking Catalan in the class, that actually isn't true, there is one woman from Madrid, she speaks Spanish.

There is soooooo much material, there is a software program we have to download that I cannot use on my mac.  I sent a message over that one.

*sigh*

I know why I did this to myself, but honestly, what was I thinking.

*crickets*

Yeah, right.

Spanish test tomorrow too...must go and study more for that.  Catalan will simply have to wait for a bit.

OMG

ach. Well, soldier on, it could be worse - you could be buried under 2 feet of snow (like us today). Chirp, chirp, chirp.
P.S. Sorry for the lack of sympathy...

It keeps your brain cells active. Isn't learning a language or an instrument on of the best things you can do for your brain. This way only you suffers whereas an instrument is a horrible experience for all with whom you cohabit.
I don't think I understand this cricket thing.

Well, take it easy... Do you need it for your job or anything? If not, just do as much as you can and don't stress, otherwise you'll end up hating it.

Bodhi, don't worry about the lack of sympathy. I said to my husband today that I am not sure I ever want to go back for a Canadian winter, and kind of dread the idea. I sooooo get it.

Boo and Trev. Yes, it is tuning the instrument and staving off alzheimers (so is spelling that word). The crickets is the sound you hear when no one responds. When you say something into a void and the only tiny wee little distance murmur you can hear in response is the creaking crickets.

That's the idea anyway.

Mother T...indeed, though I am starting to need it more for work, and frankly in this economy, the more skills you can bag together, the better.
