Life lessons

Eldest learned a valuable life lesson the other day at the beach:  when eating pastries on a windy day, best not to order one covered in icing sugar.

When sitting with your back to the wind, your hair sticks to your pastry.

When sitting facing the wind one is blinded, at every gust, by a cloud of icing sugar that adheres glutinously to your face.

Important life lesson.

One I think I'd like to learn on my own. Not that I don't believe you. It's just that sugar covered pastries? Worth the test.

Normally I would say, "What's not to like about sweets on the beach?" But I guess even the really good stuff has a downside (though this sounds totally worth it).

As life lessons go, this one is BIG! Well, maybe not really big, but good to know... ;)

Hula, you've got to promise photos, m'kay?

JG, I think it was worth it too, but there might be less sticky sweets...

Beth, hey! Everything has its moment in the sun.

I think this one is closely related to the "never eat a chocolate-maple beavertail while skating on the rideau canal on a windy day" rule.
