Photolog

I have a half written depressing discussion of ethics, and the lack of them in the Republican party; I am too tired to finish it and it is too late to go to bed that upset.

So instead, fragments of the day.

First off, the other day Hula posted a photo of a BLT...made me a little hungry. Here's mine. I used allioli.....maybe we should make a group of these, everyone post BLT photos and we'll all link?!?!

These are theoretically fruit, but I've never eaten one, and you can't buy them. Makes me suspect we aren't that hungry anymore. They are beautiful though.

Went to the beach in Barceloneta today, got some more sea glass (very little) but some... I love this...I assume it is a sculpture...fantastic.

There were lots and lots of jelly fish....the girls were throwing them back. They are lovely, aren't they?

This fellow was on a wall, Barceloneta was once a fishing village. He looks like he might have been a figurehead once don't you think?

A lot of the doors in the area are VERY thin. Must make moving a drag. And getting a stroller up the stairs; and groceries; and a toddler; and a pregnant lady; and just about anything but a broom.

Maybe this is how we should lock the door. Do you think they bring the chain in with them and tie it to the inside when they are home?

You-know-who is getting into the spirit of things here, a little weed, a little to drink, some football.....a hula lei.....

BCN...

A more mundane moment, this is the table where the computer goes. The laptop is used quite literally as a laptop. What I have done, which is why I am posting the photo, is put sketching goodies beside the laptop...maybe I'll get something drawing in if it is just so handy. Slow loading pages will be my new friends.

Youngest is off at a sleepover, and Oreneta (the boat) is probably somewhere on the I-90, doing 65mph (maybe a little less, I can hope) more or less due north.

This was much lovelier than thoughts about the Republican party.

And by the way, we've made plans to get a home in Grima for a week or two... it wouldn't perchance be anywhere near you, would it?

Great photos! We have a madroño (the tree/bush that red fruit grows on) in our yard. They are edible, but I'm not a fan.

Mmichele...there is one in Sierra Leone, I presume you don't mean that one...it is fairly far away...there is another in Andalucia in the south of Spain, not particularily near, no, but by Canadian standards not too bad, probably about a five hour drive...You HAVE to go to Grenada...and you need to book the tickets on line in advance. Go early in the morning even if you have to get up early to drive there. I don't want to over play it, but it was pretty amazing.

Kate, do we have to peel them or just pop them in..they are such a lurid colour I find myself a little leery.

Lynda, don't they have smoked lamb or something you could use? This is quite the porkland too...

Beth, I have an entire album of door pictres..so I guess I too am obsessed, it is a great place for it...jelly fish are usually beautiful, though we saw one once that looked like so much rotting meat...it was freaking enormous too...bigger than a dinner plate across and deep...we wheeled the boat around in circles in the Atlantic off NJ for about 15 min looking at the thing....Most are lovely though....

Jason, as himself said...

You live a charmed life!

I love the BLT! Who knew I could be so influential? Ha! Aoli sounds like a great addition.

That sculpture is awesome. And let's not even talk about the Republican party. I'd hate to ruin the morning.

Jason...mmmm, maybe, doesn't always feel that way I can tell you..

Hula, I have been avoiding them as well...seems to ruin the day...it was a great BLT, thanks for the inspiration!
