Mac! HELP!!!!

HELP!!!

Mac users....I cannot believe that TextEdit in Mac is the only word processor...the thing SUCKS!!!

How do you make a document in Mac????

I am going back to the old PC to work because this is so completely unacceptable.

There must be another way.

You could try open office, it is free, but is a very large download so you need a fast connection and be patient. Details are here: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/

They expect you to buy Office, which I have as I bought it with Brian's educational discount......

I suppose you could give OpenOffice.org a try, I'm using it under Linux, as well...

Pages usually comes bundled in (the iworks program, with Keynote and Numbers) but it may not be bundled in Spain in which case you'd have to decide if it's worth the money. It's cheaper than microsoft programs for mac but not as good (imho). It can read microsoft programs and can export as .doc so your stuff can be read in MS Word.

It might be worth seeing if you can get an educational account through work for office. I can at mine so it's worth checking out the websites. In the UK it's if you have an ac.uk email address so if your work has the Spanish equivelant you might be lucky.

My daughter's school uses Mac's and she hates the Text Edit issue. Hates it.
