Feeling blue

Yeah, feeling kind of down and worn out this evening.  Painting like crap too, so I put down the brushes.

I don't think going into it all will do anyone any good, nothing is wrong, just too much.

One thing I will say though, with assurance.  Murakami's new book?  The 1000 page job?  I am thinking that MAYBE I'll read that one in English.

Or maybe I'll double dog dare myself and read it in Spanish.

Time for a good book.

Now.

I'm sending you a cyber-hug and hoping you feel perkier soon.
I hope it's nothing serious.

Hope you're feeling more upbeat soon. Sometimes, I think we have to wallow a little in order to get back on track. A little wallowing never hurt anyone.

im feeling the same way...too bad we can't feel yucky together, Rocky. and I, too, need a good book to read. tried reading The Girl with the Tattoo book...couldn't get into it. Im only on page 34, so people are telling me to stick with it. and yes, I HATE winter. can't wait for Spring!

Thanks Beth, more internal than external, though sometimes the world gets up and bites your *ss.

Hula, down time can be useful. Sadly.

BETH! Yuck happens doesn't it. Crap. Girl with the tattoo, found it WAY too violent, couldn't get there. I'd bail. What about The School of Essential Ingredients by Erica Bauermeister? I read it a while ago, and it was good.

I;m struggling with Cathedral del Mar in Catala. It is so long and too didactic. But every time I decide to stop it picks up and I get interested. But mostly it is pride nad stubborness that I WILL finish it as it helps my Catala.
However...for light reading I have been rereading Driving over Lemons etc in English and enjoying them more than the first time.
And I am guiltily watching awful programmes on the BBC now that we have a satel-lite dish.
Sometimes it is all too much but what's the alternative?
Hope you feel better soon

Take care. I hope you get to feeling better :)

I hated La Catedral de Mar, not because of the Catalan, but because I thought it was a crap book. Maybe try L'Ombra del Vent by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. Better book. I also find Murakami very readable.....

Trish, truer words....yes, I am feeling better too.
