You know I have said that the Catalans use olive oil for EVERYTHING.
I just discovered a new use.
They used to (still do?) wash the tile floors with olive oil.
I haven't quite figured out how that would happen....but that is what I am told. They did it for the shine. I imagine it also would have soaked in to some extent.
Wow.

Being the klutz that I am, I would never DARE to use oil on the floor. I can see myself zizzzzing across! AAAAAAAAAAH!
I can't figure out how you wouldn't end up slipping on the floors.
If you do it, be careful! Let Chuck walk on it first. He doesn't have as far to fall...
I like olive oil well enough, but I'm not sure I'd like the entire kitchen floor to be covered in it. I prefer non-slippery and lemon or pine scented floor upkeep products...
Hmm. I'm afraid of falling, but I can see how it would shine. Are you going to try it?
Bodhi...me too...we'll see what happens.
Beth, I think honestly that the tiles must have a different finish. Not glazed.
Beth, I suppose they use what they have, but honestly, there are a fair number of lemons around too!
Hula, Ummmmm, wait and see....first I need a roof I can trust to stay up!
