climactic zones

Today the man and I walked to the local garden center.  We bought a lemon tree and a jasmine vine...alongside a few other things.

For someone who learned to garden in a Canadian zone 4 or 5 the idea of planting these is very exciting.

Photos when they're delivered.

It is soooo time to get out in that garden and get it organised some more.

TIME!

Having a lemon tree sounds like heaven! And there's nothing like the scent of jasmine on the evening air . . . Lucky you, with a whole new zone to discover.

DAMMIT! I have been dreaming of living with a lemon tree in my backyard for a year or so. Vivid, lively dreams. I sOOOOOOOOO want to live in a climate that allows me to have a lemon tree in my back/front yard. In that respect I salute you! And say, hurray for sun and warmth and a geographic parallel where I will, one day reside. (!)

JG, I am pretty excited about it and am awaiting the delivery of the plants!!!

Bodhi, I am sorry, I did think of you and feel cruel as I mentioned going into the garden to work. Mtl in Nov is no time to garden. Then again, I'd give a lot for some good bagels and lox....good stuff wherever you are. If you will it, you will get there. True too.
