A room with a view...

Lulu from Lulu's Bay in Cairo is posting a picture of what she can see out of her kitchen window...seems like fun to me, so here's the view...we have an entertaining time comparing the various undergarments on the line....

So in this first earth-shakingly fascinating photo we have the view of my little porch of the back of my kitchen, which doesn't have a window, but rather a door, which most of the time I love...you can see my pot of herbs out the back there...
also my neighbours laundry, which I may have mentioned is something of a conversational fall back around here. If you look closely there are I believe at least two thongs out there, clipped in with some boxers...

This second photo is a clearer view of the laundry, plus water tanks, a touch of sky, and if you only knew, through the bushes on the left is a real live ancient year old castle, complete with an obnoxious royal type. I have nothing against monarchy per say, but ours does seem to be a jerk.

This final shot is looking down into the outdoor area of the people below us, one of the guys is a gardener. They used to have a most impressive growth of 'weed' if you catch my meaning, but have become more conventional at this point.

So there it is.

The view from my kitchen.

If you would like to, feel free to join it...it has all the joy of being a peeping Tom with none of the guilt.

It's fun to see those pictures. A little glimpse of Oreneta's life!

There's no point in me taking a picture out my kitchen window. I can't see a thing. It's covered with snow/sleet/freezing rain.

What a contrast to your view!

nice. I don't have windows in my kitchen. I only have a one bedroom apartment after all ;)

Beth & elpadawan: you are missing the point - we want to see EVERYBODY'S view...doesn't matter what it looks like... we all have to look at SOMETHING when we are standing at the sink!

I like your view Oreneta, the washing is interesting... you can see how often they change their knickers (why would you want to? LOL)

oh Rocky, I love it...the view, the laundry, the water tanks, the "weeds" ....all of it! it's beautiful.

I'm with Lynda, we want to see all the views, even if it is snow and sleet. Looking at your neighbors clothline must be fun, since it must change everytime they wash..I haven't seen a cloths line in ages...

I like the view, it's interesting. Mmmm, neighbor's laundry, that's always fun. And good royals are so hard to come by these days, aren't they my dear? I guess you'll just have to put up with the one you've got. The view from my kitchen isn't half as interesting, but it is nice. On one side it looks out on our private patio and on the other I can see the garden. So, we don't get any people to watch, just the occasional bird.

Beth, it kind of blows me away here when I buy what are clearly indoor plants, and then I leave them out all year...the photo of your back porch, with you so fashionably arrayed, is that a view from your kitchen?

elPadawan, so what do you look at while you're cooking? A blank wall? The living room?????

Lynda, sometimes it is kind of too much information, aside from some sequined hot pants, which must be almost as uncomfortable as a sequined thong, there is nothing too racy out there...

Beth, it is so European...you know, no privacy, looking into your neighbours intimiate lives....

Martha, thanks for coming by...it does scratch a bit of that busy-body, peeping Tom itch doesn't it.

Theresa, it is such a problem with royals dahlink...the locals around here keep burning their picture as well...

Kim, do you have a window? At least you could hook the microwave up to the car battery if you do. Vital requirement in a kitchen's design where you are I gather.

That picture was taken by Chris from the sliding door off the family room. I did take a picture of the view out the kitchen window today (had some melting) and I'll post it.

That is so interesting. I love to see other places and it is just like you see in the movies. Love the roof's and funny about the laundry. There are some subdivisions here where you can't even throw a blanket over the deck railing, let alone hang laundry outside. Glad I don't live int one of those.

Beth, I'm looking forward to it...

Lillian, it is so neat isn't it, thanks for stopping by!

Dawn...from an environmental perspective I am stunned by these subdivisions that don't allow a laundry line, it's fairly horrid.

I love looking at the different architecture of another country. Very interesting photos. You have seen what you would see out of our kitchen window since you have been visiting us online. We have the picnic table, bird feeders, and trees....lots of trees.

I do enjoy Spain....worked there for a while. And your view is not too gross.....many worse in the big cities.

A keen idea. See my view
