Cold and angry.

We're home.

It seems strange that we were in Paris this morning, driving up the Champs-Elyses....life is odd with jet travel.

Chuck is fine.

Still no heat or hot water. Still have a leak. I am getting seriously angry, and seriously cold.

I can see my breath as I type. Inside. Colder tomorrow.

Maybe I will move into the landlords house tomorrow. Maybe we'll all have a shower there tomorrow.

They did none of the repairs while we were away. Not one.

Going to go to bed now. At least I can get warm there.

Wish I could send over some hot soup for you all! I made a very tasty hot borsch soup today.
It's -15C in Riga and dangerous!
Slight cover of snow over icy streets and sidewalks.
No salt to speak of anywhere even though landlords are supposed to take care the footage of their property fronts!!GM

It's only 2ºC here and it's 9:30am...can't imagine they've left you without heat...but it seems the country was paralyzed during the past 12 days!

you should have stayed in Paris, then. Cold, but with hot water.

GM, hot soup would be most welcome, though a friend here offered a hot shower, which we took most gratefully.

Beth....better than sewer sudge I suppose, they are coming tomorrow to look at the machine, then they'll debate if we need a new one (I'd say so) etc etc etc....

Beth, reasonably warm...nor really warm, but reasonably...

Mar, it's 2 degrees in here too.

LP, you're gonna make me cry.

Beth...You'd be great to have along for this, we'd be a team....

You'd think 7 days would have been enough to get things fixed... hopefully they are as relatively cheap as the dentists!

Our cental heating has just gone wrong too! And the central heating has gone wrong at work - some of the labs are only 10C. An annoying coincidence! I may go swimming this evening if we can;t get the plumber out so that I can have a shower. Hope you get it sorted soon

Mmichele, I would have thought that was enouh time too....the landlords are paying....slows it down, but that's the upside to renting.

Boo and Trev...we've thought of that...youngest is the luckiest, between swimming and basketball she has five chances to shower a week...unfortunately, at her age she needs it least of all of us. I hope it is sorted soon too. Getting TIRED of this.
